How Do Educators Benefit from the MEd and MAT?

When you graduate from WPU’s MAT program, you’re all set to start the process of getting your Preliminary Teaching License in Oregon. This license lets you teach in public schools, education service districts, and charter schools. It’s good for three years and you can renew it, which gives you a chance to build up the advanced skills needed to move on to a Professional Teaching License.

If you already have an Oregon Teaching License and want to keep advancing as an educator, WPU’s MEd program allows you to further specialize your skill set with endorsements in areas like Special Education (SPED), English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), or Reading Interventionist.
